Epiroc surface drill bits are the drill bits at the front of a tophammer drill string, the part that breaks the rock. They are built for every type of rock, from hard to soft and from abrasive to non-abrasive. ED Machines Group supplies them in Malaysia as the authorised Epiroc distributor, with genuine parts and technical support from Subang Jaya, Selangor.
The bits are made to last: drillers get more metres before the first regrind and more metres between regrinds. Epiroc redesigned the bit shape, uses harder and stronger steel for the bit body, and uses patented button technology.
Choosing a bit is also simpler. Epiroc says around 30% fewer bits now cover all tophammer surface drilling applications, and the bits are matched to Epiroc T drill rods.
